Our journey began after a pivotal work injury that changed our view on financial empowerment. It led us to write a children's book tackling racial injustice and inequality. This experience ignited our passion for fostering change. With our expertise, we're committed to creating a robust foundation of financial literacy and entrepreneurship, having the community at heart.
YEOC began as a deeply personal response to adversity. After a workplace injury in early 2024, founder Alphonzo C. Davis Jr. found himself navigating physical recovery, depression, and a redefined sense of purpose. What started as a children’s book on financial literacy quickly revealed a broader need: access to resources that make stability possible. That realization sparked the idea to build an organization rooted in real-life tools—where financial education, legal support, and cooperative values meet the everyday needs of people who’ve too often been left out of traditional systems. YEOC now serves as a platform for growth, connection, and shared progress, shaped by lived experience and driven by a commitment to lasting impact.
